Huawei has unveiled a new 4G LTE-enabled Android 6.0 tablet ‘Honor Pad 2’ to its range. Measuring 8.1mm thick and weighing 340 grams, this mid-range tablet is equipped with an 8.0-inch 1920 x 1200 16:10 IPS display, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 (4 x 1.5GHz + 4 x 1.2GHz) processor, an Adreno 405 GPU, a 3GB RAM and a 16GB/32GB of expandable internal storage (up to 128GB).
For taking pictures and videos, the tablet sports a 2MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear-facing camera with LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. Powered by a 4800mAh battery, the Honor Pad 2 provides 4G LTE (w/ voice calling), dual-band WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS / GLONASS for connectivity, and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with EMUI 4.0 on top.
The Huawei Honor Pad 2 will go on sale in China from October 25th for around $148 for the 3GB RAM + 16GB storage WiFi only version, $192 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage WiFi only version and $222 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage 4G LTE version, respectively. [FoneArena]
