Intel 3.0GHz Core 2 Extreme QX6850 Processor

Intel has recently announced their 3.0GHz Core 2 Extreme QX6850 quad core processor for standard Intel Socket T (LGA775) boards. The Core 2 Extreme X7800 runs at 2.6GHz and has a 800MHz front-side bus with 4MB L2 cache. Intel says it offers 28% more speed than the Core Duo T2600. The new X7800 offers Enhanced Deep Sleep for better energy saving, and Advanced Media Boost for faster video, photo and music editing. The processor can even be over clocked. In other words, it’s fast.
