Intel's 2nd-Generation Compute Stick With Intel Core M 'Skylake' Processor

Intel has introduced the 2nd-generation of its Compute Stick mini PC that comes with an Intel Core M ‘Skylake’ processor. Unlike its predecessors, the 2nd-generation Compute Stick is equipped with either an Intel Core M5-6Y57 vPro ‘Skylake’ or Intel Core M3-6Y30 ‘Skylake’ processor, an Intel HD Graphics 515, a 4GB RAM and a 64GB eMMC.

Furthermore, this fanless device has a microSD/SDHC/SDXC card slot (up to 128GB), a USB 3.0 port for reading USB flash drive, a micro-USB charging port and an HDMI 1.4 B connector (can be directly connected to the HDMI TV or display).

Running on Windows 10 OS (Core M3 model only), the 2nd-generation Compute Stick provides dual-band WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1 for connectivity. The 2nd-generation Compute Stick will be available in the first quarter of 2016 for $399 (Core M3 model) and $499 (Core M5 model), respectively. [Intel]
