I-O Data is back by bringing you their latest portable DVD write called the DVRP-U8E. Measuring just 20mm thick, this slim portable drive features a USB 2.0 interface and provides write speeds of up to 8x for DVD+/-R, 6x for DVD+/-RW, 5x for DVD-RAM and 24x for CD-R/RW. Active Media Products today rolled out a new series of eSATA (external SATA) Flash drives. Coming in both 16GB and 32GB capacities, these drives feature MLC NAND Flash memory chips, an eSATA interface, a mini USB 2.0 port and promise to deliver sequential read and write speeds of up to 100MB/s and 55MB/s when using its eSATA connection. Synology has begun shipping their latest Network Attached Storage (NAS) device for the mass market. Dubbed as the DiskStation DS410, the device is equipped with a 1.6GHz processor, a 512MB of RAM, a built-in 256-bit AES hardware encryption, Gigabit Ethernet, an eSATA port, two USB 2.0 ports and can accommodate up to four 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA hard drives, or four 2.5-inch SSD for a maximum of 8TB of storage space. In terms of performance, it delivers an average of 115MB/s reading speed under RAID 5 configuration in a Windows environment, and 54MB/s writing. Taiwanese company IDTI (Integrated Digital Technologies) has showed off the latest 21.5-inch Full HD touch-screen display during CeBIT 2010. The display has an HDMI/D-Sub input and supports Microsoft Windows 7 OS. The IDTI 21.5-inch Full HD touchscreen display is priced at just $300 a pop.
