ASUS Eee 1001PX Intel Atom N450 Netbook

ASUS comes back to the netbook market by releasing the new ASUS Eee 1001PX. The netbook runs on a 1.66GHz Intel N450 CPU with a 1GB of RAM, up to 250GB hard drive and a 6-cell battery with up to 9-hour of operation time. Other specs include three USB 2.0 ports, a VGA output, 10/100 Ethernet port, a mic/headphone jack and a memory card reader. The ASUS Eee 1001PX netbook also has a 0.3-megapixel camera for video conferencing. The Windows XP model retails for $326, while the Windows 7 Home edition model is priced at $406. Synology Ships DiskStation DS410 NAS

Synology has begun shipping their latest Network Attached Storage (NAS) device for the mass market. Dubbed as the DiskStation DS410, the device is equipped with a 1.6GHz processor, a 512MB of RAM, a built-in 256-bit AES hardware encryption, Gigabit Ethernet, an eSATA port, two USB 2.0 ports and can accommodate up to four 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA hard drives, or four 2.5-inch SSD for a maximum of 8TB of storage space. In terms of performance, it delivers an average of 115MB/s reading speed under RAID 5 configuration in a Windows environment, and 54MB/s writing.
