Kingston has announced a new line of USB 3.0 flash drives namely the IronKey D300. Coming in capacities ranging from 4GB to 128GB, these waterproof and dustproof flash drives (FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certified) feature a durable zinc alloy casing, a USB 3.0 connection interface and built-in 256-bit AES hardware encryption for an extra level of security.
In terms of performance, the IronKey D300 flash drives promise to deliver read and write speeds of up to 80MB/s and 12MB/s (4GB model), 165MB/s and 22MB/s (8GB model), 165MB/s and 22MB/s (16GB model), 250MB/s and 40MB/s (32GB model), 250MB/s and 85MB/s (64GB model) and 250MB/s and 85MB/s (128GB model), respectively.
