Kingston has unveiled a new line of SSDs, the SSDNow UV300. Available in three different storage capacities: 120GB, 240GB and 480GB, these slim 2.5-inch 5mm thick SSDs (w/ spacers for 7mm and 9.5mm thickness) are equipped with TLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a quad-core, 8-channel Phison S10 controller and a MTBF of 1 million hours.
In terms of performance, the SSDNow UV300 SSDs promise to deliver read/write speeds of up to 550/350 MB/s (120GB model), 550/490 MB/s (240GB model) and 550/510 MB/s (480GB model), respectively. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing yet. [Kingston]
