Lacie Lacinema Black MAX DVR

Lacie is famous for its external hard drives, RAID arrays, optical drives, and computer monitors. The company has rolled out the new DVR in the form of the LaCinema Black MAX. It is actually a direct competitor to Western Digital’s TV HD Media Player. The Lacinema Black MAX is a NAS storage device with a proprietary UI that can connect to your HDTV (HDMI and component) and output a 1080p signal. The device comes with either a 500GB or 1TB hard drive, that can be expanded via its USB 2.0 inputs. The Blackmax can also upscale your home movies and download movies, music and photos over WiFi or Ethernet from networked computers. The Lacie Blackmax with a 1TB drive retails for $650 and the 500GB version for $617. [Lacie]
