LaCie has launched the Network Space 2 Network Attached Storage (NAS) and media server that is designed by Neil Poulton. The Network Space 2 is user friendly thanks to the preloaded LaCie Network Assistant that allows users to customize the dashboard with widgets allowing them to easily access networks, drive information, user accounts, and drive capacity. The device can also stream multimedia files to any UPnP/DLNA compliant devices, including Sony’s PlayStation 3 or Microsoft’s Xbox 360 gaming consoles. The LaCie Network Space 2 features the iTunes server software, which enables Mac or PC users play content directly from the drive instead of their local iTunes libraries. Meanwhile, the Download Machine feature lets users to download multiple BitTorrents sans PC. [LaCie]
