This is a new slide projector from Leica which is perfect for photographers. The Pradovit D-1200 slide projector is a 16:10 WXUGA digital projector that is touted to be the lightest and smallest projector in the world that features Leica-grade optics, DNX 30-bit video processing MotionEngine and some useful connectivity options. The projector features Leica VARIO-ELMARIT-P 1:2.8-3.1/33-42 mm/59 mm-74 mm zoom lens with 120% vertical lens shift, 2,000 lumens brightness and 2,500:1 contrast ratio. It uses Philips’ 220W FusionPlus VIDI UHP bulb that can last for up to 3,000 hours for standard applications or 4,000 hours on power-safe mode. Unfortunately, the Leica Pradovit D-1200 is currently available only in Japan for approximately $12,000. [SlashGear]

Dear Ladies and Gentleman,
thank you for the information on the new Leica digital projector Pradovit D-1200.
Please note that the product is not only available in Japan but world wide. Off course the price range of the projector is on a high level but its the smallest, lightest Full HD projector in this product range with photorealistic quality but you can watch blue-ray movies with excellent image performance.
