South Korea’s LG Electronics has confirmed that they will launch a 15-inch television set using organic display technology next month, the largest commercial model so far. This active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AM-OLED) display provides better picture quality and consumes less power. It is also thinner than widely used liquid crystal displays (LCD) that need backlight units. Unfortunately, there is no info on pricing so far. [Reuters]
