The latest XCanvas home theater from LG is available in two different settings. The HT964TZ (5.1ch) and HT564DG (2.1ch) come with a unique form of a glass of champagne and red wine color. Both models support only DVDs and LG’s state of the art upscalling technology. No word on pricing so far but with looks like that one would expect some Blu-ray action. [Akihabara]

Not supprised by the basic DVD player. I don’t believe LG has realy made it’s way to the front lines of A/V tech. Especially their LCD line which leaves much to be desired. They seem to continuously be on the dull side of cutting edge.
