LG has announced the availability of its latest LCD HDTV ‘SL8000 Borderless’ in Russia. Unlike conventional LCD TVs, the SL8000 features a unique single-layer screen, in which the TV screen and frame are in one piece, making it borderless. On top of that, this new HDTV also provides 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 150,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 2ms response time. Other advanced technologies worth mentioning include LG’s TruMotion 200GHz for reducing the blur of moving objects, Smart Energy Saving Plus for reducing electricity consumption and Intelligent Sensor for automatically adjusting the image and the intensity of the backlight under the lighting conditions. The SL8000 is now available in Russia for a retail price of 61,990 rubles (about $2,113) for the 42-inch model. [Product Page via GadgetFolder]
