Logitec comes up with a silent 3.5 inch external HDD that is also able to turn itself on and off at the same your PC does. This hard drive also has a protection system to turn the disk into read only mode. Logitec offers disks ranging from 250GB to 750GB at 7200rpm and they are available in two versions: FireWire and USB, and USB only. No word on pricing yet.
