These new applications will protect our handsets from malware, unauthorized attacks and even SMS attacks (sending junk/scams via SMS). Since smartphones getting smarter and hackers getting more creative, a mobile anti-virus application is a must, especially for those who connect to the internet via their handsets and receive multimedia messages. Using the McAfee VirusScan Mobile, you are prevented from sending infected messages to ones various contacts. Both the anti-virus applications also offer protection from attacks via SMS, MMS, Bluetooth and other entry points, e-mail, instant messaging, internet downloads and Web surfing.
