Microsoft Surface Available at AT&T Stores

Microsoft today announced that the Microsoft Surface touch table will be available at AT&T’s mobile stores on April 17th, 2008, we speculate the previously stated price of $10,000 is still intact. If you live near New York City, Atlanta, San Antonio or San Francisco, make sure to visit the AT&T store after 17th April for hands-on Surface experience. Ralph de la Vega, president and CEO of AT&T Mobility, said that the company looks forward to work with Microsoft to continue developing new ways for our customers to learn about the ever-growing lineup of mobile devices and applications. Yeah, but at what cost?!?!

I’ll give up a few hundred for it. Maybe even $500 if it has a hell of a HDD, or the ability to to plug a few in. But I just can’t see myself spending any more than that on a “coffee table with the occasional pics”.

After speaking with a microsoft guy on a conference this week, the table is “in stores” for 11.000€ (about 14.000$) without taxes. Nice Gadget but not for customers. Flagship stores first!
