NEC has showed off a new dual-band WiFi router ‘Aterm WG2200HP’ to its line-up. Corresponding to the ‘Draft 11ac’ (the new standard for Wireless LAN IEEE802.11ac), this home router is equipped with 1x Internet LAN port, 4x LAN ports, 1x USB 2.0 port and WiFi TV mode relay function, and supports for dual-band WiFi access point (2.4GHz – 450Mbps and 5GHz – 1733Mbps).
Not to mention, the Aterm WG2200HP also comes with ‘Safety Net Visible’ function for checking the equipment list and the radio wave strength in connection with smartphone-tablet, and provides security through encryption using WPA2-PSK (AES), WPA-PSK (TKIP) and WEP (128/64-bit).
