NEC To Launch A New Dual-Band WiFi Router

NEC is preparing to launch a new dual-band WiFi router for the mass market namely the Aterm WG2600HP. Corresponding to the ‘Draft 11ac’ (the new standard for Wireless LAN IEEE802.11ac), this home router is configured with one Internet LAN port and four LAN ports, and supports for dual-band WiFi access point (2.4GHz – 800Mbps and 5GHz – 1,733Mbps).

Utilizing the Mu-MIMO technology (providing comfortable communication environment when you connect multiple terminals without loss of speed), the Aterm WG2600HP provides security through encryption using WEP (128bit), WPA2-PSK (AES), WPA/WPA2-PSK (AES) and WPA/WPA2-PSK (TKIP/AES).
