NEC Unveils A New Rugged Windows 8.1 Tablet For Business Users

NEC hits back by unveiling their latest rugged Windows 8.1 tablet, the ShieldPRO G11A. Aimed at business users, this drip-proof, dust-proof and shock-proof tablet is configured with a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 (16:10) display, a 1.46GHz Intel Atom E3815 (Bay Trail) processor, a 4GB RAM and a 16GB or 64GB of internal storage.

Measuring W279mm x D190mm x H19mm and weighing 900 grams, the tablet comes complete with a 2MP front-facing camera, a 5MP rear-facing camera, a microSD/SDHC card slot and a USB port. Running on Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro OS for tablets, the ShieldPRO G11A provides WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR for connectivity.
