NEC has come out with another eco-friendly Full HD monitor in the form of the AccuSync AS231WM. This new 23-inch monitor is compliant with Energy Star 5.0, TCO 5.0 and EPEAT Silver, and consumes 50% less energy compared to regular monitors of the same size. In terms of performance, the AS231WM provides 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 5ms response time and has D-Sub and DVI-D connectors. The AccuSync AS231WM will begin shipping in May for an estimated street price of $269. [TweakTown]
