NETGEAR has unveiled a new tri-band WiFi 802.11ac router ‘Nighthawk X8 R8500’ to its range. Powered by a powerful 1.4GHz dual-core processor, the Nighthawk X8 R8500 operates at a combined speed of up to 5.3Gbps, with two 5GHz bands that reach up to 2166Mbps each and one 2.4GHz band that reaches up to 1000Mbps.
Equipped with four internal + four external antennas (w/ active antenna technology, 4 x 4 MIMO, 1,024QAM & beam-forming technology), the Nighthawk X8 R8500 is built with 6x Gigabit Ethernet ports to enable super-fast connections with other wired devices, 1x USB 2.0 port & 1x USB 3.0 port to easily share printers, files and media within the network.
The NETGEAR Nighthawk X8 R8500 is scheduled to hit the market from mid-May for around 41,000 Yen (about $365). [Product Page]
