OCZ has updated its 2.5-inch Vertex SSD series by releasing the Vertex Turbo SSD that provides higher the clock speed for both the host controller managing data and the 64MB of cache. OCZ estimates that the new SSD will offer peak read speeds of up to 270MB per second (up from 250MB) and peak write speeds of 210MB per second (up from 160MB). The OCZ Vertex Turbo SSDs is available in 30GB, 60GB, 120GB and 250GB storage capacities. Pricing info is still unavailable. [Electronista]
