
Packard Bell, the infamous PC manufacturer of the 80’s and the 90’s, still exist. They just launched their two new navigation systems; the Compasseo 500 and 600. With an integrated SiRF III GPS receiver and antenna, the navigation systems are powered by a 266 MHz processor and run on 64MB of RAM. The systems also boast of TFT LCD 3.5 Inch touch screen with 240 x 320 pixels resolution, JPEG viewer and a MP3 player. Measuring 94 mm x 74 mm x 18 mm, the systems weigh just 166g. The Compasseo 500 comes with maps of France on a 256MB SD memory card with the price of 299 Euros or around $379. The Compasseo 600 comes with maps of France, Germany and the main roads of Europe on a 512 MB SD memory card with the price of 329 Euros or about $471. Compasseo 500 and 600 will be available in Europe this August.
