The screen sports a resolution of 960×540, contrast ratio of 1000000:1 and comes with a digital TV tuner. The super slim XEL-1 OLED TV is available for $ 1800 with a 3 year warranty.

Airborne Laser System Tracks and Destroys Missiles

Here is a video of Boeing’s high-tech YAL-1 Airborne Laser (ABL) weapons system that consists of a high energy laser, flight turret assembly, tracker Illuminator lasers, and a beacon illuminator. The weapon system uses infrared sensors to detect missiles, and then three low power tracking lasers calculate speed of the missile, and finally the main laser is fired for 3-5 seconds from a front-mounted turret to destroy the missile. Changing colors for your car has gotten easier than ever with Nissan’s new paramagnetic” paint coating which is a polymer layer that has iron oxide particles that are applied to the body of the vehicle, changing the car as a matter of flicking a switch. They also developed a self-healing “Scratch Guard Coat” which protects against scratches caused by anything and will allow the scratches to correct itself within a week depending on the severity. Nissan will most likely offer these features in 2010.

Upcoming Asus M930 Communicator

Asus is working on a new PDA phone that has the same design with the Nokia Communicator. Known as the Asus M930 Communicator, it will have two display screens and full QWERTY keyboard. Asus M930 PDA phone will be powered by Marvel PXA27x 520 MHz CPU, 256MB of Flash ROM and 180MB of RAM, Windows Mobile 6.0 OS and will have GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS and 3.6 Mbps HSDPA connectivity. The gadget also sports 3.2MP camera with autofocus, FM Tuner, WI-Fi and Bluetooth. For your info, the picture above is only the illustration. It is not the actual picture of Asus M930. The Asus M930 Communicator will be released in Europe in Q1, 2008.
