Panasonic has once again expanded its line of compact system cameras by announcing the Lumix GF8. Aimed specially at selfie enthusiasts, this interchangeable lens camera boasts a 16MP Live MOS sensor, a 3.0-inch 1040k-dot touchscreen tilt LCD monitor (flipping the monitor to switch the camera to Self Shot Mode), Panasonic’s Venus Engine image processor and built-in WiFi connectivity.
Other highlights include the beauty functions – enables users to shoot portraits more attractively with its Soft Skin, Defocusing and Slimming effects, and Beauty Retouch function – to put on a virtual make-up in the playback mode (clearing the skin texture, lifting up the face, whitening of teeth and so on).
For video recording, the Lumix GF8 can record 1080p@60fps Full HD video. The Panasonic Lumix GF8 will available in certain markets only for unannounced price yet. [PhotographyBlog]
