Panasonic today introduced the new Lumix DMC-FX66 point-and-shoot camera that features a 14-megapixel 1/2.33-inch Type CCD sensor with the Intelligent Resolution technology and the Power O.I.S. image stabilization. Measuring 97mm x 54mm x 22 mm and weighing 145grams (with battery), the compact camera also uses an ultra wide angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT 25mm-125mm lens with a 5x optical zoom, the new Venus Engine VI processor with Intelligent Resolution, a 2.7-inch LCD screen, an ISO sensitivity from 80 to 6400, a 40MB of internal memory, and different scene mode. In addition to the conventional SD/SDHC Memory Card, the DMC-FX66 accepts the next-generation SD format SDXC (SD eXtended Capacity), that features high potential in both capacity and data transfer speed.
