by Johan on September 6, 2010

Philips today launched a new docking speaker system for iPad, iPhone and iPod that comes equipped with wireless Bluetooth streaming capabilities. Dubbed as the Philips Fidelio Speaker, the speaker system features a couple of 3-inch full range woofers that produce 2×15 Watts RMS stereo output. The Fidelio supports A2DP/AVRCP Bluetooth connectivity that can be used to playback music or game audio using the built-in Bluetooth capabilities on the iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. The free Fidelio+ app is available to allow further customization of the speaker system directly from the iOS device including access to a five-band equalizer and customizable alarm settings with sleep timer and the ability to wake to music, nature sounds and/or photos. Each purchase comes with a remote controller, allowing you to adjust volume and pause or change tracks from the comfort of your sofa. [Philips]
