Philips’ Latest Eco-Friendly LCD Monitor

Philips is gearing up to launch another eco-friendly LCD monitor into the market namely the 225B2. This new 22-inch widescreen monitor is compliant with Energy Star 5.0, RoHS and EPEAT Gold, and consumes just 22.5W during normal operation. In terms of performance, the 225B2 provides 1680 x 1050 native resolution, 5ms response time, 250 cd/m2 brightness and 500,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. It also comes with two 1.5W speakers and has D-Sub, DVI and two USB 2.0 connectors. The Philips 225B2 will go on sale in June for about 237 Euro (about $290). [Philips]
