Digital Foci introduces a new portable digital picture viewer with hard drive and built-in card reader, the Picture Porter Elite. Available in 40GB and 80GB versions, this 11 oz, 5.3 Inch x 3.1Inch x 1.1 Inch player is primarily aimed at photographers, since it features memory card support for CompactFlash I & II, MicroDrive, MultiMedia Card, SD Card, Memory Stick, MS PRO, xD, RS-MMC, miniSD, MS Duo, and MS PRO Duo with an adapter. The 3.6 Inch backlit color TFT LCD (320 x 240 pixels) makes viewing and managing images on the go a breeze, and the device supports JPEG, TIFF, BMP, GIF, and RAW file formats. Other features include MPEG-4 video recording (640×480 pixels) at 30fps, 18 presets FM radio and recording, MP3/WMA/WAV audio support for use with a built in speaker, as well as MMV9, MJPEG, and MPEG-1/4 support which includes recording straight from a video source. It has a battery life up to four hours for video and 12 hours for audio. Picture Porter Elite will be available from August 7th with the competitive price of USD449 for 40GB and USD549 for 80GB storage.
