QNAP hits back with their new 2-bay NAS server, the TS-251A. Designed specially for home & SOHO users, this 2-bay NAS server is built with a 1.60GHz 14nm Intel Celeron N3060 dual-core processor, a 4GB DDR3 RAM and two 2.5-/3.5-inch SATA HDD/SSD bays.
Equipped with AES-NI hardware encryption engine and hardware-based transcoding engine corresponding to 4K multimedia playback, the TS-251A provides 1x SD card reader, 3x USB 3.0 ports, 1x micro-USB 3.0 QuickAccess port, 1x HDMI-out port, 2x Gigabit RJ45 LAN ports and a built-in 70mm cooling fan.
Running on QTS 4.2.2 operating system, the TS-251A supports for Virtual JBOD (VJBOD) to maximize the storage utilization of multiple QNAP NAS units. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing yet. [Product Page]
