Samsung has announced a new line-up of high-density hard drives ‘Spinpoint F3′ which are aimed at high-end computing environments. Coming in 500GB and 1TB capacities, these new 3.5-inch drives work at 7200RPM and feature a 3.0 Gbps SATA interface, Native Command Queuing (NCQ), a 16MB/32MB buffer memory, and make use of 500GB platters. The 500GB model is now available worldwide, while the 1TB model later next month. Pricing is still unknown at the moment. [Enterpriser]
