Samsung, the South Korean electronic giant, will launch 1, 2, 4 and 8GB MMCplus memory cards later this year. Samsung claimed that MMCplus will be the biggest capacity MMCs on the today’s market. Samsung will also launch faster versions under the Mach MMCplus label which have a read-speed to 40MBps and a write-speed of 25MBps. The cards are based on the MMC System Specification version 4.1, which supports speed of up to 52MBps.
