Samsung Electronics will release the LED-based DLP high-definition television, the HL-S5679. The LED-based DLP high-definition television provides a brighter picture and a longer life than the standard UHP lamps used in previous models. The HL-S5679 features a resolution of full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels while the LEDs has up to 20,000 lifetime hours. At the price of $3999, the HL-S5679 will be available in August this year.
