Seagate has just unveiled the world’s thinnest 2.5-inch hard drive ‘Momentus Thin’ designed specifically for slim laptops and netbooks. Coming in 160GB and 250GB capacities, these 7mm thick drives feature an 8MB of cache memory, a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface and provide a working speed of 5400 RPM (rotations per minute). These drives are scheduled to ship to Seagate’s OEM and integrator partners in January 2010.
