Seiko Epson has developed a tiny 0.2mm fingerprint sensor which allows manufacturers to secure any kind of mobile device. This sensor reads fingerprints by detecting the miniscule electric current from your finger when you touch the device. It may help bring an extra level of security to a range of items in the future. Seiko Epson aims to commercialize the sensor by 2010. More details on Pink Tentacle.
