
Here is Sharp’s prototype LCD (not OLED) which comes jam packed with a 100,000:1 contrast ratio into a 52-inch LCD display only 20-mm (0.78-inches) thick. The entire TV measures only 29-mm or 1.14-inches at its thickest point while covering 150% of the NTSC color gamut and consuming just 140 kWh/year. We can expect these new TVs sometime in 2010.
