
How lucky to be Americans because Sharp has decided to launch the D65U series of LCD HDTV statesides in October 2008. The LCD TV offers a native resolution of 1080p, Energy Star-compliant, active backlight and contrast controls and 176-degrees viewing angle. There are also a total of five HDMI ports, two composite inputs, one S-video, and PC-in. The monitor also adopts Sharp’s Advanced Super View and Black TFT Panel technologies. The Sharp Aquos D65U LCD TVs are priced at between $1600 to $2400, depending on the screen’s size. [Newlaunches]
