At first glance the SightMate looks very similar to the video glasses that are common for gamers and for watching movies on a simulated big screen. However, the SightMate LV920 is designed to help people with visual impairments to see better. It features a 2 megapixel sensor coupled with a 3x optical zoom and feeds images to a twin high-resolution 640 x 480 pixel displays inside the glasses. The SightMate is available for around $3,500, which seems more expensive than most video glasses.
