Sony just announced their new D-SLR, The Alpha DSLR camera. It appears to be largely based on designs from Konica Minolta. It supports all lenses that work with Konica Minolta’s earlier DSLRs. The name alpha means “the new beginning” or “essential” . It was picked up by Sony because of what it implies. Sony promises that the DSLR will live up to its name. According to Toru Katsumoto, Senior General Manager of AMC Division – Digital Imaging Business Group of Sony Corporation, Sony will launch alpha DSLR this summer.
