Sony Ericsson Z558 cell phone is the company’s first non-Symbian phone that offers a touch screen and stylus interface. The handset is available in a sleek brushed metal and high gloss design. It comes with a bright 262k color touch screen, a 1.3MP digicam, and has 18MB of on-board memory. You can also upgrade the memory to 1GB. The touch screen interface makes it simple to input complex languages like Chinese characters. The Sony Ericsson Z558 will be available starting October 2006 in Expresso Black. There are two versions will be offered; the Z558c for mainland China and the Z558i for other markets. No news on pricing yet.
