This is the good news for PSP lovers. The latest edition of PSM (PlayStation Magazine) says that Sony is set to release a second generation PSP in Japan by March 2007. The next generation of PSP will not be named PSP 2, and will be a simple upgrade more than anything else. The report suggests that Sony will upgrade the built-in memory from 32MB to 8GB based on memory chip industry movement. Sony will add a built-in camera and will upgrade the UMD drive into a slot-loading drive. As a result, the upgraded PSP will be slimmer than its predecessor. The price is expected to stay the same at around US$250.
