Sony Releases Ultra-compact Notebook PC in Japan

Sony VAIO VGN-P50 Ultra-compact Laptop

Sony will release its VAIO VGN-P50 ultra-compact entry-level laptop in the Japanese market on June 6th, 2009. This Windows XP-powered laptop measures 245mm x 120mm x 19.8mm and weighing at 626grams. It has an 8-inch ultra wide LCD screen with a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor, a 1GB RAM, a 80GB HDD, and Intel’s US15W chipset. Other features include a couple of USB 2.0 slots, IEEE 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, multi-card reader and four hours of battery life. The Sony VAIO VGN-P50 is priced at around 85,000 Yen ($890). [AVING via Laptop Notebook News]
