@Rameyuk
You make the mistake of assuming this meant to be a TV.
The post here only refers to it as a display, which is pretty generic and non-specific, so it's accurate. Neither is it a monitor I'd think because it doesn't seem to be specifically meant for hooking up to a computer, as the primary visual output for using that computer. But I see it more likely used in that role, in very specialized NON-CONSUMER roles. Why? Look at that price-tag! Not much of a market for TVs in that range, I'd guess. You could buy a nice BMW for that much! You'd have to be considerable wealthy to justifiably put this in your home theater.

And if you try looking for this on Sony's site, you'll only find it under pro electronics. Where it's listed as a monitor. If this can be called a TV, it'd have to include a tuner. And if you are a Sony loyalist, it's kinda Sony's style to be a bit understated. Their monolithic design for recent TVs is a gorgeous example of it. This isn't much different. It's thicker. And not by a whole lot. It's professional device, and I know I prefer a robust solid looking design in that case. And to me, it looks better than most other manufacturer's TV. You can see they might be trying, but it doesn't come off really well (what was that whole Touch of color thing Samsung? LG's tacky dated looking faux wood panel on some of their TVs, which just seemed out of place with the rest of it... I could go on and on about bad designs. This isn't one of them. Not to say it's great either, but I have no issues with the looks.

It's hard to make chrome elegant in my experience.

Whoa! I thought 1080p was already good. Now 4x the full HD... I'm just speechless. I'd sure like to buy that QFHDTV, but that's a whole lot of cash I'd have to save for. I'm going to wait for the price to go down. The design needs to change also. The TVs I have aren't perfectly rectangle like this one. I really like Sony. They've provided good gaming systems and all, but I guess I have to wait on this stuff. HD is the future! :)

I'm impressed with the specifications of the TV. LED backlighting, 2160p QFHD resolution... NICE !!!

But WHY IS THE DESIGN SO GODDAMN FUGLY !!! It's like a cardboard box, painted in black. Which means this tv can be replicated by a 3-year old.

I mean, COME ON !!! Toshiba did a better job in designing their similar TV. Why is Sony designed THIS PIECE OF CRAP !!!

I've always been a Sony loyalist and I always will be. But seeing this design, made me wanna kill myself. COME ON SONY !!! BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD AND REDESIGN THE TV INTO SOMETHING ELEGANT YET FUTURISTIC. WITH BLACK AND SHADES OF CHROME OF COURSE !!!
