Here is good news for you. The Sony Tubular non-directional speaker concept has become reality. The speaker will be released on the next June 20th, 2008. Measuring 325mm x 1845mm x 325mm and 12.5kg, the new “Sountina” speaker (NSA-PF1) is a transparent organic glass tube which vibrates and expand sound to 360 degrees. It provides a frequency response of 50Hz – 20,000Hz, an input line, a 13cm subwoofer speaker, a 7cm medium speaker and the tweeter which is all of the organic glass. The speaker is priced at around €6500. [Akihabara]
