Sony has announced the availability of the new VPL-VW85 projector that adopts Full HD 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, the Progressive Silicon X-tal Reflective Display, the Motionflow120Hz with black frame insertion technology and the 24p True Cinema technology. The projector provides a 120,000:1 contrast ratio, an 800 ANSI lumens brightness, and two HDMI ports. Sony will release the VPL-VW85 for around $8,000 in October 2009. [Press Release]
