Researchers at MIT are developing a battery that could charge cellphone or laptop batteries in a few seconds rather than hours, and also might never need to be replaced. This battery is better for the environment, because it allows the user to not worry about replacing it. The battery can be discharged and charged hundreds of thousands of times, essentially lasting longer than the life of the equipment with which it is associated. Via ScienCentral.
