Synology has dropped a new 4-bay NAS server ‘DiskStation DS916+’ for the mass market. Aimed at small and medium business users, this 4-bay NAS server is configured with a 1.60GHz Intel Pentium N3710 64-bit quad-core processor, a 2GB or 8GB DDR3 RAM and a four 2.5-/3.5-inch SATA HDD/SSD bays.
Equipped with AES-NI hardware encryption engine and hardware-based transcoding engine corresponding to 4K Ultra HD, the DiskStation DS916+ comes with 3x USB 3.0 ports, 1x eSATA port, 2x Gigabit Ethernet and 2x built-in 92mm fans.
