NEC Display Solutions 2,000 Lumens LED-Based Video Projector

If you just love watching movies on your big projection screen, but yours just doesn’t shine bright enough for you, then have a look at this new LED-based projector from NEC Display Solutions. This one features a brightness of 2,000 Lumens and claims to be the world’s brightest LED-based projector. It is capable of displaying 98 percent of the color defined in the Adobe RGB standard which is more than 30% more than a regular projector. The bad news is that they don’t have any immediate plans to commercialize this, but the good news is that when they do the brightness will be kicked up to 3,000-4,000 Lumens. [TechOn]

OCZ Solid 2 SSD

Here’s the latest solid state drive series from OCZ, the OCZ Solid 2. Available in 64GB and 128GB storage capacities, these 2.5-ich drives provide a reading speed up to 125MB/s and a writing speed up to 100MB/s. They also feature a SATA II interface, a 64MB of onboard cache and a unique performance optimization to keep the drives at peak performance. No details on pricing and availability just yet.
