Hyundai Rolls Out Two 3D LCD Monitors In Europe

Hyundai has rolled two new 3D LCD monitors for the European market in the form of the 22-inch W220S and 24-inch W240S. Both monitors come bundled with polarized glasses and feature 1,000:1 contrast ratio, two 3W speakers, a D-Sub port, a DVI port and an HDMI port. The main differences between the two LCDs are: the W220S only supports a native resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels with 5ms response time, while the W240S offers a higher resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels with 6ms response time. The W220S and W240S are now available in Europe for 500 Euro (about $748) and 1,400 Euro ($2,095), respectively. More

Samsung has recently showcased the innovative Samsung 30-inch AMOLED TV at the FPD 2009. It is claimed to be the world’s first 30-inch AMOLED TV that supports 3D picture (stereoscopic) and full HD resolution. Measuring at just 2.5mm thin, the AMOLED TV is powered by Samsung’s patented Simultaneous Emission with Active Voltage (SEAV) technology and the Crosstalk technology to reduce dizziness and eye fatigue. Thinkware Introduces iNAVI K3+ 3D Navigation Device

Thinkware has introduced the successor to its iNAVI K3 3D navigation device with the all new iNAVI K3+ for the Korean market. Featuring a stylish wine color design and a translucent power key, this portable device offers a 7-inch WVGA (800 x 480 resolution) LCD display, a SIRF V6 chipset, a 900MHz processor, a 8GB SDHC memory card, a 256MB RAM, DMB support, a video player, MP3 playback, a car diary function and a USB host to expand its memory capacity. LG 3D LCD TV Released in Korea

LG has plan to release its first 3D LCD, the 47-inch 47LH50, in South Korea next month. The 3D LCD allows you to enjoy 3D effects without the need of PC with additional 3D video cards. You just need to wear the polarized light eye-glasses. No word on pricing so far. [Gizmodo]

Japan’s National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) have announced the development of the gCubik. The gadget visualizes objects in three dimensions thanks to its integrated imaging technology. The gCubik measures around 10cm x 10cm x 10cm. Real-View Corporation recently announced their Real View 360° 3D Scanner as the first real solution for cheap 3D scanning. The images captured by the 3D scanner can be rendered and viewed from any position, and a topographical 360° version can be exported into any web based document, online catalog or online auction.
