
A-DATA has quietly released the industry’s fastest 2.5-inch solid state drive in the form of the A-SATA S596. It features 250MB/s read speed and 180MB/s write speed, which is perfect for business users. The drive is also able to boot a Windows 7-based computer in less than 20-seconds. A-Data has just announced a new series of CompactFlash cards, the Speedy CF 533X. Coming in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB sizes, these cards provide read and write speeds of up to 80MB/s and 50MB/s, respectively. Not to mention, they also utilize a quad-channel transfer mode (Ultra DMA mode 0-6, IDE PIO mode 6, MDMA 0-4) and feature Error Correcting Code (ECC) function to detect and correct errors automatically. A-DATA has announced its new waterproof and shock resistant portable HDD ‘SH93′ for the mass market. Coming in 250GB, 320GB, 500GB and 640GB capacities, these external HDDs feature a molded rubber-plastic case and special cushion materials making them both waterproof and shock resistant. In addition, these drives also meet the military’s MIL-STD-810F standard for drop resistance and can withstand being submerged in one meter of water for half an hour. Measuring 61.8mm x 18.7mm x 10.7mm and weighing just 13 grams, the drive is available in four different capacities: 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. They also feature a stylish aluminum casing, a USB 2.0/1.1 interface and come in two color options, either red or gray. A-DATA has rolled out its latest high-capacity 4GB single module DDR3 memory that comes in three different versions: U-DIMM RAM for desktops, SO-DIMM RAN for laptops and unbuffered ECC-DIMM/ECC Registered DIMM RAM for workstations and servers. A-Data has announced a new line up of 2.5-inch solid state drives, the SX95. Available in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB, these XPG-branded drives deliver maximum read/write speeds of 230/180 MB/s (128GB and 256GB models) or 210/140 MB/s (32GB and 64GB models). The SX95 SSDs also feature MLC (multi-level cell) NAND flash memory chips, a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, a MTBF of 1 million hours and an “onboard DRAM cache buffer.” Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing and release date yet. Leading storage manufacturer A-DATA has announced their new SATA 2.5-inch A-DATA X25-M series SSD, which also happens to be co-branded with Intel. The X25-M features Intel’s Multi-Level Cell NAND flash memory and achieves read speeds up to 250MB/sec and write speeds up to 70MB/sec with only 85 microsecond read latency. A-DATA showed off its 512GB XPG 2.5 inch SSD at the current CeBIT exhibition. It is able to offer read and write speeds of 230MB/s and 160MB/s, respectively.
